To the Unknown God
During his ministry the Apostle Paul was confronted by certain religious philosophers who claimed that he was teaching the people about “strange gods” and they demanded that he explain himself to them. Paul pointed to an alter upon which was written the inscription ‘To the Unknown God’ and he declared to the people assembled who this ‘unknown god’ whom they worshipped in ignorance really was (Acts 17-17:31).
Has anything changed today? Do people know who the true God of the bible really is? Believe it or not this world is steeped in ignorance as to whom the God of the bible really is. Some claim He is an invisible force, some that he is philosophical thought and others that He is a trinity of one God made up of three “parts” or “hypostases” And all are wrong! Now the question must be asked - do you know who the God of the bible really is? Or perhaps you have been deceived by the vain philosophy of false religious teachers. Perhaps, like most, you have no real desire to know who the true God of the bible really is.
